Official film description...

Monsanto's controversial past combines some of the most toxic products ever sold with misleading reports, pressure tactics, collusion, and attempted corruption. They now race to genetically engineer (and patent) the world s food supply, which profoundly threatens our health, environment, and economy. Combining secret documents with first-hand accounts by victims, scientists, and politicians, this widely praised film exposes why Monsanto has become the world s poster child for malignant corporate influence in government and technology.

Notes on the film...

“The World According to Monsanto” is an excellent ARTE-production of high quality. Captivating, just like a thriller, we consider it the most exciting documentary on the issues of genetic engineering and transgenic contamination. The film explains contexts very well and can well be watched a few times.

The global impact of GMO is unfortunately of enormous extent. It is therefore very important to reveal facts and information on this issue. We really hope that many decide to sponsor DVDs and screenings of this film.
